I’ve always wanted to throw a Halloween party where I’d serve nothing but spooky homemade foods like graveyard dip, jack-o’-lantern stuffed peppers, ghost pretzels and monster cookies.

I’m not convinced this year will be the year for that. We’re still not allowed to have large social gatherings in my province, and all that cooking doesn’t quite seem worth it if there’s no one to share it with.

Since that’s the case, I suppose the next best thing is to decorate some of the Halloween candy our kids will be getting—which is just as fun for them, but involves a lot less cooking.

The kids and I had a lot of fun with this one. So much fun, in fact, that new ideas kept popping into my head as I worked on this article, which was only meant to contain four or five craft ideas.

Here are the seven that made the cut!

(Note: This article includes brief instructions on how to make each of these crafts, but I’ll be adding detailed tutorials for each over the course of the next few days. So be sure to check back soon!)
