Welcome to article number 2 of 7 in this series of Halloween lollipop crafts!

Decorating lollipops for Halloween is so much fun. To be honest, we weren’t planning on making this many, but once we started making them, we got so caught up in it that new ideas just seemed to flow!

These cute pumpkin lollipops are probably the easiest to make after ghost lollipops, and in fact, they both involve all of the same steps. The jack-o’-lantern face makes this one smidge more difficult, but we love how colourful it looks compared to the ghosts!

So if you want to make these adorable jack-o’-lantern lollipops with your kids, read on to find out exactly which supplies you’ll need and which steps you’ll need to complete.

Here are the supplies you’ll need to turn a lollipop into a jack-o’-lantern for Halloween:

How to Make a Lollipop Pumpkin (Step-by-Step)

1. Cut Tissue Paper

Use scissors to cut two squares of orange tissue paper. The sides of the squares should be about 4-5 inches in length.

Don’t worry about making the squares perfect. They’ll be folded over anyway, so no one will know the difference.

Since they didn’t have to be perfect, I chose to cut both squares at the same time by layering the tissue paper.

2. Secure Tissue Paper

Place a downward-facing lollipop in the centre of the tissue paper squares.

Holding the lollipop in place, bunch up the tissue paper and use green curling ribbon to secure it. Try to make sure one of the stretches of tissue paper doesn’t have too many wrinkles—this will make it easier to draw a face during the next step.

Once the tissue paper is secured, you can use the scissors to curl the ribbon if you wish.

3. Draw Face

Use a permanent marker to draw the jack-o’-lantern’s eyes and mouth.

You will definitely need an ultra fine point marker for this. A regular fine point one simply won’t allow you all the precision you’ll need.

And that’s all there is to it. So simple, but so cute—and it would make a great Halloween party favour to give out to your guests!
