Who Is This Activity For?

These activity pages are perfect for toddlers, preschoolers and kindergarten students who are learning to use pencils and need some extra practice. They can also be used in occupational therapy.

How to Use These Worksheets (for Younger and Older Kids)

If you are printing out this activity for young children, there is no need to introduce pencils or markers right away. Instead, ask them to follow the lines with their index finger.

As for older children, have them trace over the dashed lines using some sort of writing instrument like a crayon, pencil or marker. For added fun, they can even colour in the designs once they’re done tracing!

How to Print These Worksheets

Once you have downloaded each PDF file to your computer, print the pages on US Letter-sized paper (8.5 x 11 inches) before handing them over to your child.

You can also print out the pages on A4 paper. If you do this, remember to adjust the “Scale to Fit” setting on your printer to ensure that none of the printable area gets cut off during printing.

How to Make These Worksheets Reusable

To make these tracing sheets reusable, you will need to laminate the pages using a thermal laminator or self-laminating sheets. If you don’t have a laminator at home, you can also place them inside plastic page protectors or dry erase pockets.

Doing this will allow your child to trace the lines using dry erase markers, then wipe the pages clean and save them for future use.
