How to Use (for Different Age Groups)
Depending on your needs, this activity can easily be adapted to better suit your child’s stage of development:
- Younger kids: Doing this activity with a toddler? If so, there is no need to use pencils or markers right off the bat. Have your little one practice following the lines with their index finger before you move on to actual writing instruments.
- Older kids: Doing this activity with older preschoolers? Have them trace over the dashed lines using some sort of writing instrument like a crayon, pencil or marker. When they are done tracing, they can extend the fun by coloring in the designs!
Printing Instructions
Once you have downloaded all of the PDF files to your computer, simply print the pages on US Letter-sized paper (8.5 x 11 inches) and they’ll be ready to use.
It is also possible to print the worksheets on A4 paper, but you’ll likely need to adjust the “Scale to Fit” setting on your printer to ensure that none of the printable area gets cut off.
How to Make These Worksheets Reusable
Whether you’re looking to save money on printer ink or you want to reduce the amount of paper you use, you can make these worksheets reusable by laminating the pages using a thermal laminator or self-laminating sheets, or by placing them inside plastic page protectors or dry erase pockets.
Once the pages have been covered with plastic, your child will be able to trace over the lines using dry erase markers, then wipe the sheets clean so that you can store them for future use.
