How to Use (for Different Age Groups)

This activity can be easily tweaked to fit your child’s age and stage of development, which means you can use it for multiple age groups. You can adapt in the following ways:

• Younger kids: If you are doing this activity with a toddler, consider holding off on using pencils or markers, and having them practice following the lines with their index finger instead.
• Older kids: If your child is old enough, have them trace over the dashed lines using some sort of writing instrument (e.g. a crayon, pencil or marker) instead of their finger. You can even extend the fun by coloring in the designs once they’re done tracing!

Printing Instructions

To use this printable, download the PDF files to your computer and print the pages on US Letter-sized paper (8.5 x 11 inches).

If you would rather print these worksheets on A4 paper, you’ll need to adjust the “Scale to Fit” setting on your printer in order to ensure that none of the printable area is cut off.

How to Make These Worksheets Reusable

Want to make this printable reusable? Try laminating the pages using a thermal laminator or self-laminating sheets. If you don’t have a laminator, you can also try placing the printed sheets inside plastic page protectors or dry erase pockets.

Doing this will allow your child will be able to trace over the lines using a dry erase marker, then wipe the sheets clean so they can be reused in the future!
