Learning to cook is a wonderful bonding activity for families, and it’s also a great way for kids to build their confidence and learn useful skills that will follow them for the rest of their lives. My 9-year-old was really excited about these recipe cards, and immediately printed them out so that we could cook together!
Why You’ll Love This Printable
- Tried-and-true recipes: All of the recipes featured on these recipe cards are recipes that my family and I have made many times, so you can trust that they’ll work. (Several of them are featured on my food blog, The Cunning Kitchen—feel free to take a look if you need more ideas!)
- Simple ingredients: You’ll only need 4 to 5 ingredients to make each of these recipes, which means you can spend less time gathering ingredients and more time making memories. I also made sure that all recipes had a nut-free alternative in case your children or their classmates have food allergies.
- Family bonding activity: Cooking is a fantastic way to bond as a family while teaching your kids a valuable life skill that they will be using for decades to come! Make these recipes with your kids to help them build up their confidence.
- Kid-friendly: Every ingredient you’ll need to make these recipes is illustrated with a picture so that younger kids can join in on the fun. If you have older kids at home, they should be able to do most of the steps without any help.

Printing Instructions
Once you have downloaded the PDF files to your computer, you can print each page on a separate sheet of US Letter-sized paper (8.5 x 11 inches) and cut along the dotted line to create two separate recipe cards.
Note: While these pages were designed in US Letter format, you can print them on A4 paper by adjusting the “Scale to Fit” setting on your printer to ensure that none of the printable area is being cut off.
How to Preserve Your Recipe Cards
After printing and cutting your recipe cards, consider laminating them using a thermal laminator in order to make them more durable. Depending on your preference, you can either laminate each recipe separately or laminate two cards together so that both the front and back of the card shows a different recipe.
