How to Use Your Bingo Cards

Depending on whether or not you choose to laminate the bingo cards to make them reusable, there are several options for completing them:

  • Print out the bingo cards and cross out each item with a pencil or marker after completing it.
  • Print out the bingo cards and use dot markers to cover the squares as you complete each task.
  • Print out and laminate the cards according to the instructions provided in this article, then use a dry erase marker to indicate which items have been completed.
  • Upload the PDFs into an app like Goodnotes and use them digitally on your tablet or computer.

How to Offer Rewards for Completing Reading Challenges

Does your child need a bit of extra encouragement? Try offering a reward for getting bingo (5 squares in a row), for completing a certain number of squares, or for completing the entire bingo card.

You can also offer smaller rewards for smaller accomplishments, and save a larger reward when they complete the whole card!

Printing Instructions

After you download the PDF files to your computer, simply print each page on a separate sheet of US Letter-sized paper (8.5 x 11 inches).

If you wish to print the pages on A4 paper, you should be able to do that as well, but you will likely need to adjust the “Scale to Fit” setting on your printer to ensure that none of the printable area is getting cut off.

How to Make These Bingo Cards Reusable

If you plan on reusing these bingo cards every summer, you can do that by laminating each page using thermal laminator or self-laminating sheets, or by placing them inside plastic page protectors or dry erase pockets.

Doing so will allow your child to complete the bingo cards by crossing out each item using a dry erase marker, then wipe the cards clean and store them for future use.
