What is the best way to create frog spawn for sensory play?

Basil seeds and chia seeds can both be used to create sensory frog spawn, but my personal preference is basil seeds. They have the perfect look and texture, and unlike chia seeds, they only need to soak for 15 minutes before they're ready to play with! For this sensory bin, I chose to freeze the basil seeds after hydrating them in order to create larger clumps and prevent them from immediately dispersing in the water. It also added an extra layer of fun to the activity, since the temperature and consistency of the seeds changed over time as my kids played. That being said, freezing is totally optional, and you can simply leave the seeds at room temperature if you prefer.
