How to Use (for Different Age Groups)
While this activity is best suited for preschool and up, it can easily be adapted for different age groups if you happen to have a younger child at home who wants to participate:
- Younger kids: To do this activity with a toddler, have them practice following the lines with their index finger instead of using writing instruments.
- Older kids: If your child is old enough to use writing instruments, have them trace over the dashed lines using a crayon, pencil or marker.
Printing Instructions
Once you have downloaded the file to your computer, you can print the pages you are planning on using on regular US Letter-sized paper (8.5 x 11 inches).
The pages are in US Letter format, but should you wish to print them on A4 paper, you can do so by adjusting the “Scale to Fit” setting on your printer to ensure that none of the printable area is being cut off.
How to Make These Worksheets Reusable
Rather than print these sheets out multiple times, why not make them reusable so your child can practice tracing the letters again and again?
To make this printable reusable, you can either laminate the pages using a thermal laminator or self-laminating sheets, or place each page inside a separate plastic page protector or dry erase pocket. That way, your child will be able to trace the letters using a dry erase marker, then wipe the sheets clean for future use.
