1large shallow baking dish or tray
foam shaving creamas needed
food coloring or paint (green, red or brown)as needed
1toothpick or wooden skewer
1sheetwhite cardstock
1spatula
1pairsharp scissors
Instructions
Cover the bottom of a shallow dish or baking tray with shaving foam.
Add some drops of food coloring or liquid watercolor paint to the shaving cream. (You can use green for the Christmas tree, red for the candy cane and brown for the gingerbread cookies.) Use a toothpick to swirl the food coloring around and create a marbled pattern.
Print the template of your choice on US Letter cardstock, then press the printed side onto the shaving cream. Use a spatula to quickly scrape all the shaving cream off the cardstock, revealing a swirling pattern.
Use scissors to cut along the lines of the template and reveal your Christmas-themed design.

Helpful tips:
Press down on the cardstock: Make sure that every part of the template touches the shaving cream by gently pressing down on the sheet of cardstock.
Don’t let the cardstock get too wet:Scrape off the shaving cream as quickly as possible to prevent the pattern from getting blurry.
Experiment with the coloring: Try using different quantities of coloring to see what kind of pattern you like best.
