silly putty

Do you like the texture or slime, but worry your young and toddlers will try to put in in their mouths and eat it?

If so, try this easy slime alternative made from edible ingredients. Its texture is similar to that of regular slime, but it contains none of the chemicals!

1

steP

Start by measuring out some plain or vanilla yogurt and placing it in a medium-sized mixing bowl

2

steP

Add a few drops of food colouring in the colour of your choice (or skip this step to make white silly putty)

3

steP

Add cornstarch to the coloured yogurt, a bit at a time, and stir the ingredients with a spoon until combined

4

steP

Set aside the spoon and continue kneading the mixture with your hands to combine the ingredients completely

5

steP

Knead the slime with your hands until it no longer feels sticky, adding more yogurt or cornstarch as needed

This taste-safe silly putty is simpler to make than slime since it requires no cooking and the recipe only calls for 2 simple kitchen ingredients.

It feels super stretchy like borax-based slime, but because the ingredients are edible, it's actually safe for babies and toddlers who put everything in their mouths!
