These free printable worksheets are perfect for toddlers, preschoolers, pre-K and kindergarten age kids who need some extra fine motor practice.
How to Use These Free Worksheets (for Younger and Older Kids)
Each page features both a summer word and a corresponding picture for your child to trace.
If you are doing this activity with young children who haven’t yet developed their pencil grip, consider having them follow the lines using their index finger rather than tracing them with a pencil.
As for older kids, they can trace the dotted lines using a pencil or marker to practice their pencil control. For added fun, ask them to colour in the images when they’re done!
How to Print These Worksheets
After you download each PDF file to your computer, simply print the pages on US Letter-sized paper (8.5 x 11 inches) and hand them over to your kids. If you want to make the worksheets reusable, you can follow the instructions in the next section.
This printable was designed to be printed in US Letter format, but you should still be able to print the pages on A4 paper. Just make sure you double-check the “Scale to Fit” setting on your printer to ensure that none of the printable area gets cut off.
How to Make These Worksheets Reusable
If you’re looking to save money on paper or printer ink, you can make these tracing sheets reusable by laminating them using a thermal laminator or self-laminating sheets, or placing them inside plastic page protectors or dry erase pockets.
This will allow your kids to trace the pictures and words using a dry erase marker, then wipe the pages clean and set them aside for next time.
